October 14, 2011: The first iCOMBAT event took place at West Point on October 14 - 16, 2011. It was windy and rainy, but that didn't stop the dozens of players from giving it a shot. There was a good mix of paintball people and cadets from West Point and Norwich Military Academy. The iCOMBAT field was set up for fun games, but those who tried it quickly discovered what an amazing training tool it could be. In some cases, cadets waited over an hour to get on the field.
Play continued all day and into the night, where some intense battles took place. The irTactical gear began to shine when the muzzle flash and hit irVests lit up all over the field. The realism of the gear forced everyone to develop tactics and use teamwork to win.
The event came to a successful close with just about every participant smiling and realizing they just experienced something truly groundbreaking. The academies and trainees learned a lot and everyone had fun. To learn more about this premier iCOMBAT event, contact peter@amtact.com.
