Client Highlight: MTAG Brings Tactical Laser Tag to the Mountains of West Virginia

Located in Franklin, West Virginia, Mountaineer Tactical Assassin Game (MTAG) is bringing tactical laser tag to one of the state's most scenic destinations. Founded by the owners of North Fork Mountain Inn, MTAG combines immersive gameplay with the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains, giving locals and tourists a new outdoor adventure to experience.

In October 2025 after receiving one of our marketing emails, and a follow up with our sales rep Alyssa, the team began building their vision using our irSMGs and Valkyrie laser tag equipment. MTAG officially opened on June 6, 2026, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 13th.

When did your location open?

MTAG welcomed its first players in early June, kicking off an exciting new attraction for the area.

"We opened June 6th."

What made you choose iCOMBAT?

For the MTAG team, the decision came from a combination of previous experience and a shared passion for immersive gaming.

"Alyssa reached out to me but I had played at an indoor haunted warehouse in 2014 and they used iCombat equipment. Nadia and I are gamers and enjoy the lifelike Call of Duty mission based feel of the iCombat experience."

How are operations going in these early weeks?

Since MTAG is still in its first season, they're focused on introducing the experience to both locals and the area's thriving tourism community.

"We are open Saturday and Sunday in a small town/rural area that thrives on tourism. The season is just starting here so we hope to attract some of the tourists but assume that will happen most of next year since the county is releasing their new tourism literature right after July 4th. I find this to be late, but thankfully since it was late we were able to be featured in several different tourism brochures and websites."

Any future plans?

The property offers plenty of room to grow, and the owners already have exciting plans for expanding the experience.

"Right now we have one arena set around a historic Appalachian farm that also served as a post office from 1896-1941. Our future plan is to set up our woodland arena amongst the trees. If we can spark enough local interest I would like to set up a league night or offer it to the folks that are starting the disc golf league (we have disc golf onsite too). The property is 80 acres and has lots of potential."

On June 6th, Bullseye Lasertag celebrated its 10 year anniversary, marking a decade of growth, innovation, and unforgettable experiences for the community in Woodridge, New Jersey.

What started with just 12 laser tag guns, headbands, and some plywood on a small field on a farm quickly turned into something much bigger. Through years of hard work and reinvesting back into the business, Bullseye expanded from outdoor mobile events into mile long zombie walks, tournaments, Fortnite inspired battles, shoot house experiences, and indoor laser tag.

One of the biggest challenges came when Bullseye opened its first indoor location just three months before the pandemic forced a five month shutdown. Even after a year of restrictions, they pushed through and came back stronger than ever.

Today, Bullseye operates its biggest venture yet, featuring 3,500 square feet of Nerf battles, 2,000 square feet of party rooms, and an 8,000 square foot laser tag arena custom designed by the owner himself. Their facility can now host 24 player Nerf battles and 32 player laser tag games simultaneously, creating an exciting experience for groups of all ages.
