We have returned from our company’s 10th IAAPA of which I have attended the last 8. It was without a doubt an honor to attend and participate with the group of professional miscreants that are known as iCOMBAT and to share the planning, travels, build-up, work, play, teardown, and return trip home. Every year around this time, which is just when your body stops hurting from the show, we start to say we should get planning for next year, and every year it seems like we are scrambling towards the goal line come November!

The size of the show is something that can’t be explained by just numbers but here are just a few:

  • 1,151 companies displayed innovative new products and services on 600,375 net square feet of trade show floor space, including the new Exploration Station outdoor structure.
  • 26,600 qualified buyers from around the world, including executives from amusement parks, water parks, family entertainment centers (FECs), zoos, aquariums, museums, science centers, resorts, and attractions participated in the Expo.

Just walking the floor is a challenge as you really get to know your way around by day three just before day four and the end of the show. The lights, sound, vibrations, and other body-pounding elements that make up the environment are truly astounding. Everything and anything to do with the world of entertainment under one roof. There is an outdoor exhibition as well featuring inflatables and water rides!

We appreciate all of the clients who took advantage of the free tickets we provided and we really do enjoy meeting new clients and revisiting with old clients. As always, it is the best part of the show. View our photos and videos to get a taste of IAAPA.

See you next year in Orlando!
